At St. Gianna church in Winnipeg, Artist John Collier has created this bas-relief of Our Lady  (Mary) emerging from the wall and crushing the head of Satan in the form of a serpent. She is waiving across the transept to St. Gianna their patron saint. John Collier also created the full sculpture of St. Gianna Beretta Molla. By her emerging from the wall, Our Lady signifies that she is the barrier protecting, while also embracing, the whole congregation.
