For their new sanctuary at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas the congregation asked for their most revered piece from their old sanctuary, the Tree of Life Crucifix by John Collier. Because the new sanctuary required the Crucifix to hang over the altar and their revered crucifix was designed to hang on the wall, John Collier was asked to make a New Tree of Life Crucifix. They asked that Christ have a friendly face looking down toward the congregation. The new crucifix was installed and dedicated in 2019.
