Holy Family Plus One, installed at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Wayzata, Minnesota

The young girl associated with this group of the Holy Family is meant to symbolize us. The church. We are all invited to be a part of Christ’s family.  If Jesus is our brother, then Mary is our Mother, and His Father is our father. In my sculpture  St. Joseph invites the child to meet Jesus. The girl is offering the precious "Pearl:of Great Price," or the promise of heaven as recounted in Matthew.
